Strategy

1. Resources
- Mining Licences
With over 900 square kilometers, GeoEnergy is the owner of one of the largest areas with mining licenses in Germany. About 700 square kilometers of these exploration fields are in the Upper Rhine Valley, 200 square kilometers in the Molasse Basin in Bavaria. Over 20 power plant locations are expected.

- Team
GeoEnergy presently employs a team of more than 15 professionals in own departments and will hire further experts. External advisors are routinely consulted.

- Insurance
With leading insurers a comprehensive insurance package has been contracted, which covers the risks of a dry hole, mining damage, efficiency and drilling as well as construction risks, business interruption and liability.

- Drilling rig
A first rig has been rented for a period of at least 30 months.

- Sites
Brühl is the farthest advanced location concerning property securing, mining and building permits and will be the first project. For four further projects, the sites are already secured or shortly before contract conclusion.

2. Strategic Action

  • systematic field exploration and site development in all of GeoEnergy’s own German fields, aim-ing at risk minimization, especially regarding the first drilling
  • portfolio approach as the most important risk management tool
  • standardization and modularization of power plants as well as drilling in series to realize learning curve effects and accelerate projects
  • acquisition of further fields / joint ventures inland
  • joint ventures abroad
